Namibia Represented At The 110th Pennsylvania Farm Show, Harrisburg

Ambassador Wilbard Hellao accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Eldo Kaiyamo and Mr. Michael Griffin, Namibia’s Honorary Consul for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, represented Namibia at the recent 110th Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, the capital of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

On the margins of the Farm Show, Ambassador Hellao held bilateral engagements with Hon. Russell Redding, Secretary of Agriculture of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Hon. Rick Siger, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The Ambassador also participated in a roundtable between African Ambassadors and Pennsylvania state authorities, moderated by Hon. Stan Straughter and Dr. Azuka of the African and Caribbean Business Council.

The engagements focused on agricultural trade, investment opportunities, and regulatory pathways for Namibian exports, with a focus on Namibia’s competitive strengths in beef, fish, grapes, and other high-value products, while advancing farmer-to-farmer cooperation, joint ventures, technology transfer, and enduring people-to-people linkages.
