Visit to the Embassy by delegation from University of Pennsylvania
On 11 May 2026, the Embassy hosted a delegation from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), to advance discussions on strengthening health sector cooperation with Namibia, building on H.E. President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s visit to UPenn last year, where health was identified as a key priority for partnership.
The UPenn delegation was led by Professor Glen Gaulton, Vice Dean and Director of the Center for Global Health, and included Dr. Sarah Maclean, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP); Dr. Grace St. Cyr (Paediatrician and Infectious Diseases Fellow at CHOP); and Professor Andrew Steenhoff Medical Director of CHOP’s Global Health Center and Professor of Pediatrics at UPenn.
