Ambassador Hellao Presents Letters of Credence in Costa Rica

In a ceremony held on 30 April 2026 in San José, H.E. Wilbard Hellao presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Dr Mary Munive, Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica, formally accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to the Republic of Costa Rica.

This important ceremony not only reaffirmed the longstanding fraternal ties between Namibia and Costa Rica, but also marked the beginning of a new chapter in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

While H.E. Ambassador Hellao is concurrently accredited from Washington D.C., Namibia’s interests continue to be advanced by its Honorary Consul in Costa Rica Eduardo Flores Buitrago, who is based in San José.
